These shears are an absolute must have for any chef. I hate chopping herbs with my "semi" dull knives. It never turns out as perfectly as I want. These scissors make the job quick and easy. I didn't have any fresh herbs on hand when I tested them so I just used some salad mix instead and the blades are very sharp and glided through the leaves effortlessly. They left the vegetables still fresh and didn't bruise them as knife chopping often does. Clean up was a piece of cake as you can just rinse them and toss them in the dishwasher. They come with a protective cover for safe storage. As an added bonus the pamphlet that comes with the product has not only detailed information about the use of the shears themselves but details on commonly used herbs such as basil, thyme, cilantro, mint and more. Each description contains information on the type of flavor you can expect from each herb as well as common uses.
As if this wasn't impressive enough, Jenacula donates 10% of their profits to charitywater.org. Charity: Water is a non profit organization on a mission to bring clean drinking water to every person on the planet. Though clean drinking water is easily obtained here in the US, in many countries it is impossible to come by and causing serious health issues. To date, charitywater.org has funded 13,644 water projects in 22 countries. I applaud Jenacula for this support to help the people of our world.
